Identity Archive / Save (It) Yourself
Identity Archive / Save (It) Yourself is a two-part zine I created as my final for 590 Museums, Information, and Technology.
The first part, Identity Archive focuses on my personal relationship to archival practice and digital media as it intersects with my experiences as an artist and a trans person.
The second part, Save (It) Yourself looks at personal/vernacular archival practices for digital media, the concept of permanance online, and the role the tech industry and the state play in preservation. It ends with some practical tips for digital preservation.
